This past week our second granddaughter arrived! This grandma took care of the two siblings while Mommy and Daddy were at the hospital. There sure is a change in energy levels from being a mother to being a grandmother. I am thankful that my son also has a mother-in-law to take over when I needed to come home.
Before I made the trip to MN, my pink quilt arrived from the long arm quilter. Marti did a fabulous job!
I had time to add the binding and left it off to be judged in our local quilt show as I left town!
I made a drawing for Marti of how the original quilt was quilted in the sashing. She not only reproduced it, but she added complimentary cornerstones!
She went beyond the call of duty for the border. She made a computer program to go with the design! Wow!
This coming Wednesday is the beginning of the Des Moines Quilt Show which is now part of the AQS Des Moines show. Thursday is the beginning of the American Quilt Study Seminar in Lincoln. I am so thankful that the baby has arrived and all is well in MN! I won’t have to miss anything!
